At PME Power Systems Group, developing the next generation of marine engineers has always been part of who we are. Having started his own career as an apprentice, Managing Director Pete Chalk has long believed that the best engineers are developed through hands-on experience, expert guidance and a willingness to get stuck in. That philosophy continues to shape the business today.
One of the latest success stories is Isaac, who has recently completed his engineering apprenticeship and officially taken the next step in his career with PME.
To mark the milestone, Isaac was entrusted with restoring one of our well-loved MAN Marine Engines. From careful preparation to the finishing touches, he transformed the engine with patience, precision and plenty of hard work, demonstrating not only the skills he has developed throughout his apprenticeship but also the pride he takes in every job.
While the restored engine certainly looks the part, the project represents something much bigger. Throughout his apprenticeship, Isaac has gained valuable experience working alongside our experienced engineering team, supporting commissioning, servicing, diagnostics and aftersales support across a wide range of marine applications. Learning from colleagues with decades of industry experience has helped build the knowledge and confidence needed for a successful career in marine engineering.
Investing in apprentices is an investment in the future of our business and the wider marine industry. By combining practical experience with mentoring from experienced engineers, PME continues to develop the technical expertise that our customers rely on every day.
Congratulations, Isaac, on completing your apprenticeship. We’re delighted to have you as part of the PME team and look forward to seeing your career continue to grow.
